About FlyWire Cameras

FlyWire is dedicated to solving key efficiency and sustainability challenges faced by the global seafood industry today. We are a hardware-enabled software services business that provides a value-add data solution for the seafood industry. We manufacture and deploy our proprietary ‘Fitbit for fishing boats’ on commercial fishing vessels and use our proprietary AI-assisted analysis software to process raw data into actionable analytics that our customers use to operate more profitable businesses, while sustainably harvesting wild-caught fish. Vessel-level data is the future of commercial fishing and FlyWire is at the forefront. Together, we help the seafood industry balance the needs of their businesses and communities with that of the market and government in order to build viable food sources, economies, and environments for the next generation

About Jacob Lowry

Jacob Isaac-Lowry, CEO of FlyWire, brings the lean manufacturing and engineering expertise needed to transform the process of harvesting seafood and generate the data needed to manage it for the next generation. Before co-founding FlyWire, Jacob led a startup’s product development to acquisition, then led company-wide lean transformations at a technology manufacturer after being trained by Toyota. He holds BSE and MSE degrees from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and the University of Hawaii, Manoa, respectively.

About Sarah Alessi

Sarah Alessi, COO of FlyWire, brings the biological sciences experience required to produce the high-quality, actionable fisheries data sets needed to unlock the value of vessel-level data. Before co-founding FlyWire, Sarah led interdisciplinary research teams to produce actionable multi-stream data sets characterizing the impact of human behavior on wildlife for NGOs and governmental organizations, which have been used to mitigate risk in oil and gas, wind energy, and commercial fishing industries. She holds BSc and MSc degrees from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, respectively.
